Strapless bras are supposed to be a saviour, not a total pain.
And if you’re a woman with an ample chest, there’s no way you can get away with ditching your bra altogether and going bra-less.
So today we’re unravelling why your strapless bra keeps on failing you, and how to fix it!
PROBLEM: It keeps falling down
If you have to keep on pulling up your bra all night – it’s not doing its job right.
So how do you fix it?
SOLUTION: Chances are, the band is too loose, or the cup size is too big (or both).
Often with strapless bras, women find they have to go down a size to what they usually wear, to make up for the support that the straps usually add.
PROBLEM: It is not staying in place
For a quick-fix you need to have on hand is a double-sided fashion tape to keep your bra cup in place, or look for a strapless bra with silicone stripes along the cup edge and band for better support.
SOLUTION: Double-sided fashion tape, or look for silicone stripes along cups and band.
PROBLEM: You’re not being lifted enough
Just because you have large breasts, it doesn’t mean you won’t be able to find a strapless bra that provides you with enough lift.
SOLUTION: Make sure you’re buying from a plus size bra specialist, and try and look for a style with a wide band for more support (a bustier could work well too).
PROBLEM: Your breasts are spilling out over the top
Do you find that when you wear a strapless bra, your breasts aren’t contained, and you’re always worried about one of them popping out? If so, your cup size is probably too small for you.
SOLUTION: Try going up a cup size – but note that this will probably mean you also need to go down a back size to give you your “sister size”.
