It probably comes as no surprise to you that bras come in a huge variety of styles. But did you know there’s a very good reason for that?
It’s because breast shape varies from woman to woman, and there’s a bra that was made to fit yours perfectly.
Yes – we promise. So if you’ve not met your match yet, carry on reading to find out what you should be looking for next time you shop for new bras.
Firstly, for women with larger breasts, it’s important to look for extra reinforcement at the sides, as well as wider straps so they don’t dig in to your shoulders.
Little space between your breasts
Try and find a bra with a low centre gore (the middle fabric part), to stop the underwires from digging into your breasts.
Lots of space between your breasts
Choose a bra with a wider centre gore, or opt for a push up to bring your breasts closer together.
Lots of breast tissue at the sides
Look for a bra with a wider underwire and extra reinforcement on the side panels, to ensure your breasts are fully cupped.
So many women have uneven breasts – so first things first, don’t worry, you’re not alone!
You can tighten one strap a little more on the side of your smaller breast, or you could even try adding a removable pad into the cup to even both sides out. Remember to always buy a bra to fit the larger breast.
It doesn’t matter what shape your breasts are, there are bras out there that will fit them, support them, and feel comfortable at the same time.
