When it comes to bra related matters – there never seems to be a standard answer to ANYTHING, right?!
To work out how often you should be washing your bra, let’s take a few steps backward first.
The general rule of the thumb is – you should never wear the same bra twice in a row. Ideally, you want to have at least 2-3 bras you wear over the space of a week, and alternate between.
This would mean, that each bra only gets worn a couple of times each week at most.
The frequency of washing your bras, should increase the more you sweat. Sweat decomposes the fibres of the garment, and can also cause the wiring to rust.
In hotter climates, on holiday, and in summer time – you should ideally be washing your bras once a week (after 2-3 times of wear). In cooler climates, and winter seasons, this can reduce to washing every two weeks.
Of course, always use your common sense ladies! If your bra looks or feels a little worse for wear, wash it! But if it looks and smells fresh, it’s probably fine to wear a little longer.
