Bra shopping can be stressful at the best of times, but when you fall into the plus size category, that stress can easily multiply.
That’s why we’ve put together a handy little list of things to help you out, and make bra shopping stress-free from today onward.
Check them out below.
Get fitted first!
We say it time and time again, but it’s SO important to get fitted before you go shopping for bras. So if you’re buying bras online, head into a department store first so you know which size to shop for.
And it doesn’t matter if you already got measured last year – our size can change a lot, so it’s best to get measured regularly.
Go for a thick band
If you have plus size breasts, then it’s important to look for a bra with a thick band, thick straps, and as many clasps as are available.
This will help to give you the support and lift you need, and make wearing a bra feel a whole lot more comfortable.
Learn what shape and style works for you
A lot of women with larger breasts find that full cup bras offer them extra support than plunge or balconette styles, but this will vary from woman to woman.
Try on different styles, and get to know what works best for your body.
Sizes will vary in different stores
Getting measured doesn’t mean you should automatically buy that size bra when you go bra shopping – it’s more of a helpful guide to point you in the right direction.
Sizes can vary so much between stores and different styles and materials too, so if you’re buying from an online store for the first time, get a few sizes just in case. But remember to always check their refund policy first!
